• Background: Violates principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility as it seeks to increase compensation for legislative staff in a year where most Texans have struggled to make ends meet while also having to deal with increased tax burdens

Subject: Rules Resolution, House Resolution 4 (HR4)

• Author: State Rep. Todd Hunter (R-Corpus Christi)
• TFR Position:
  • Opposed to Specific Amendments
    • Background: Amendments that violate principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility
  • Supportive of Specific Amendments
    • Background: Amendments seeking to prevent minority party chairmanships, providing transparency and/or accountability to the appropriations process, or generally supporting our mission of fiscal responsibility and limited government
